As I write this final article for 2012, I can see our orange Christmas lights
going up, and entries for our 5th annual Gingerbread House Competition
are starting to arrive.
It’s been a great 2012 for many reasons. Financially, the bank is strong. For
the third quarter, period ending September 30, 2012, Sutter Community
Bank’s assets rose to $69.8M, up 7% from a year ago. Deposits increased
5%, to $60.6M, and net loans hit $57.8M, up 20% from a year ago. We
continue to grow, and make new loans.
Sutter Community Bank became one of the first local banks to launch
mobile banking this year. Ours is called Mobile Connect...it’s easy to
install, easy to use, and makes checking your balances, transferring
money, or paying bills a snap!
Our bank staff went the extra mile for local charities this year...literally!
15 of us participated in the United Way 5k Walk/Run and manned the registration table. We also
proudly supported the United Way’s Elegant Soiree, and donated 18 turkeys for their Turkey Drive. We
bought a pig at the Yuba-Sutter Fair, helped run the Pink October Golf Tournament, and are collecting Toys
4 Tots and sponsoring a family in need for the holidays.
